Lace up for the 2027 Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Runway Run at Southampton Airport.
On Sunday 11 July 2027, runners will once again be able to take part in the charity 5K, taking place along the runway of the Central South airport.
There are 1,500 tickets available for this year’s event, with people being urged to secure their place to avoid disappointment. Almost 3,000 runners have taken part in the past two years, raising £160,000 for the air ambulance charity.
Former patients, air ambulance crew members, dedicated supporters and keen runners will line up together at the annual event – all raising vital funds for the air ambulance charity.

Participants will be able to catch the sunrise during the warm-up, before hitting the smooth, straight tarmac for a 05:30am start time – perfect for those chasing a new personal best. Each finisher will receive a bespoke Runway Run medal.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Director of Income and Engagement, Keith Wilson, said: “It’s a great pleasure to bring this fantastic event back to the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It’s an early start but it’s worth every second, with people coming back year after year. I urge anyone who is interested to get their tickets as soon as possible.
“Thank you to our partners at Southampton Airport for helping us stage what is sure to be a spectacular event.”

Southampton Airport Operations Director, Amy Smith, said: “The Runway Run is a popular staple in both the airport and community calendars, and we are delighted to be opening the tarmac again for 2027.
“This event is an excellent way to support the essential service that Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance provide across the region and our partnership with them continues to thrive.
“As the new Operations Director at Southampton Airport, I look forward to seeing people come together at dawn for such a fantastic cause.
“The team can’t wait to welcome next year’s runners for another memorable morning on the runway.”
