Arriving at Southampton Airport

Once in the terminal, follow signs for arrivals. If you arrived on an international flight you'll need to clear passport control and Customs.

2

Baggage Reclaim

Please make your way to the baggage reclaim hall to collect your baggage after your flight.

If you are connecting at Southampton Airport your baggage may be through-checked to your final destination, but please confirm this with your airline as not all offer this service.

If your baggage is not through-checked, please collect it from the baggage reclaim hall, then check your bags in as normal for the next leg of your journey.

The check-in area is located a short walk from the baggage reclaim hall.

Can't find your baggage?

We sincerely hope that your baggage arrives without any issues but sometimes passengers' property does go astray.

Thankfully this is rare, however if you find that your baggage has not arrived, please speak to a member of staff from the handling agent of your airline, they will be on hand to help you at the service desk in each facility.

3

Immigration

All international arrivals must pass through immigration. Please proceed to the departure area, ensuring that you already have a boarding card and, if you are connecting at Southampton, that your baggage has been through-checked to your final destination.

For details of entry requirements into the United Kingdom, please visit the UK Border Force website.

EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are not members of the European Union (EU) but citizens of these countries have the same rights to enter, live in and work in the United Kingdom as EU citizens.

Check your Passport Validation

We advise that you check the validity of your passport before travelling. Your passport must not expire during your visit to the United Kingdom. Please do this well in advance of your date of travel so you have time to renew it if the expiry date occurs during your stay in the United Kingdom.

4

UK Customs

If you're transferring between two international flights at Southampton, you may be able to have your baggage tagged through to your final destination. You will still need to declare any items in your hand baggage which are liable for duty.

If you are connecting from an international flight to a UK flight you must clear Customs and immigration at Southampton.

For more information please visit the HM Revenue & Customs website.
