Southampton Airport has now submitted a planning application to Eastleigh Borough Council to enable the first phase of delivery of proposals outlined in its master plan document, A Vision For Sustainable Growth.
We have been working closely with the local authority and have carried out a significant series of technical assessments, public and stakeholder consultation.
Our planning application covers:
- A 164 metre extension at the northern end of the runway, within existing airport boundaries;
- An associated blast screen adjacent to the runway;
- Up to an additional 600 car parking spaces.
The timeline for the planning application, and if successful, runway development:
A guide to how we use Noise Preferred Routeings can be found here.
An information leaflet with a summary of the benefits that the runway extension will bring can be found here.
The planning application is viewable on the Eastleigh Borough Council website. Did you know that you can write in support of a planning application?
