Southampton Airport releases first ever TV advert

Today Southampton Airport’s first ever TV advert will go live on Sky channels in the South East region and will encourage viewers to book direct and fly local.

The 30 second advert will focus on four key travel themes which can be experienced by flying direct from Southampton Airport. These themes include beaches and islands, wine and cuisine, pure air and romantic places.

Destinations include Majorca and La Rochelle for beach and island escapes, Jersey, Guernsey or Alderney in the Channel Islands or Verona in Italy for some pure air. Paris and Antwerp for romantic breaks and a choice of multiple beautiful French locations such as Bergerac, Bordeaux Limoges, Perpignan or Avignon for wine and cuisine.

Last year alone Southampton Airport announced four new airlines including VLM for routes to Antwerp and Hamburg and Aer Lingus Regional for a new route to Cork in the Republic of Ireland starting March 2016. It is also the first airport within the UK to offer scheduled flights with Volotea to Palma and will be welcoming Dutch airline, KLM, for flights to Amsterdam with worldwide connections. KLM and Volotea flights start in May 2016.
