Southampton Airport launches new partnership with the Blue Cross

After the successful launch of the therapy dog initiative, Canine Crew, Southampton Airport is delighted to be working in partnership with the Blue Cross at West End, Southampton in a mission to re-home adorable pooches at the centre.

Supporting all members of our neighbouring communities is hugely important to us here at Southampton Airport - and that includes the four-legged ones, too.

Hot on the heels of the hugely successful launch of our therapy dog initiative, Canine Crew, we are delighted to be working in partnership with the Blue Cross at West End, Southampton, to help find forever homes for gorgeous dogs like Jordan.   Please see attached jpeg for details.  A new profile will be added weekly.

Our SOU Canine Crew Blue Cross Dog of the Week will feature on our website and social media channels from this weekend. For full details, please visit:

Speaking about the partnership, Kirsty Smith, Re-homing Supervisor at Blue Cross Southampton, said: “We see every day how incredible pets are and how much of a benefit they bring to our lives; through the joy they bring and often helping alleviate our stress and worry in difficult situations. We’re thrilled to be a part of the Canine Crew campaign and what a wonderful way to help get homeless dogs loving new homes – some of our rescues even go on to be therapy dogs themselves.”

Southampton Airport Managing Director Neil Garwood said: “We are really proud to be increasing our partnership work to help enhance the lives of all within our neighbouring communities and it is great to be able to support the fantastic work of the Blue Cross.”
