Southampton Airport spread the love around by installing a big board in the Arrivals terminal spelling out “SOU” letters with roses. Passengers were invited to take a rose for their loved ones, and Bernice was waiting for husband Neil to land from Dublin when she pulled the lucky flower tied with a white ribbon from the board.
Bernice said: “I am absolutely over the moon with the prize, I’ve had a rough couple of weeks, so this is just amazing. I am definitely looking forward for a weekend of shopping either here in Southampton, or with my daughter in Birmingham.”
Neil Garwood, Managing Director at Southampton Airport, said: “Valentine’s Day is a unique holiday where people show their affection for someone special, and we really wanted to show our passengers how much they mean to us and encourage them to fall in love with Southampton Airport a little bit more. Looking at all the hard work of our staff and business partners to celebrate this event, I can definitely say that love is all around us!”
Passengers that booked the airport’s Meet & Greet and Priority Lounge have also received roses to share the love, with World Duty Free and food outlets providing the best Valentine’s Day experience.
