The airline has also added extra frequency at Southampton to its key hub airports of Manchester and Amsterdam Schiphol from where passengers can seamlessly connect for onward ‘One Stop to the World’ travel not only to the rest of the Flybe network but also via Flybe’s codeshare and interline partners (when booked through a travel agent). Flybe will also operate twice daily flights to and from Guernsey with an improved schedule convenient for day return travel.
Popular summer sun routes to Alicante and Malaga will operate through to 7th November to accommodate half-term holiday travellers. The winter schedule also includes the return of popular weekend ski routes to Chambery and Geneva; and a choice of routes to regional France including those to Bergerac and Nantes, and to La Rochelle, Limoges, and Rennes over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Simmons says: "We’re committed to bolstering regional connectivity across the UK and into Europe and our new Dusseldorf service is a clear indication of this commitment. We look forward to welcoming on board many new passengers on board in the upcoming months.”
Dave Lees, Southampton Airport MD added: “Germany is the country most requested from Southampton Airport, so we are delighted that Flybe is starting flights to Dusseldorf. We are also pleased that they are increasing the amount of daily flights to Guernsey as these provide vital air links to and from the Channel Islands.”
