Flybe has today announced a new codeshare agreement with Dubai’s Emirates airline*, further strengthening its proposition to connect regional customers with ‘One Stop to the World’ routes with bookings made via the Emirates.com website, or through their local travel agent.
The airlines are targeting a July launch for the new codeshare. Regional passengers travelling on Flybe services and onwards with Emirates to Dubai from Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, London Gatwick and Newcastle airports will be able to enjoy convenient options for connecting travel. With just one ticket, they will be able to connect seamlessly through these airports served by Emirates, with Flybe flights to and from Aberdeen, Belfast City, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Guernsey, Inverness, Isle of Man, Jersey, Newquay and Southampton.
Emirates started flying in 1985 and now has a fleet of more than 230 aircraft, currently serving over 140 destinations in more than 80 countries around the world.
Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “This new codeshare agreement with Emirates is yet another important milestone and an exciting development in the continued growth of Flybe. It allows us to give our UK customers a ‘One Stop to the World’ option with convenient, seamless access to Dubai and onwards to the rest of the world through our extensive regional route network, direct from passengers’ local airport.”
Today’s news builds upon Flybe’s current portfolio of existing codeshare partnerships with Aer Lingus, Air France, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, Finnair and KLM.
