Southampton airport welcomed its highest ever number of passengers, with 2.08 million passengers travelling through the Airport in 2017 which was 6.1% higher than the previous year.
Southampton Airport has enjoyed a record breaking summer after 445,556 passengers travelled through its doors during July and August, representing an increase of 4.2% compared to the same period last year which saw 427,388 passengers flying through.
Southampton Airport has today announced that it has surpassed the 2 million passengers in a rolling year mark. Between May 2016 and April 2017 the airport welcomed 2,029,873 passengers, the highest number since commercial flights began nearly 100 years ago in 1918.

Southampton Airport welcomed 1,830,257 passengers in 2014, which was 6.2% higher than the previous year. 43% of passengers were domestic travellers, 37% international and 20% on flights to and from the Channel Islands.
