1. Take cooler showers.
Hot showers can dehydrate your skin, meaning that your tan is likely to fade quicker. Add some extra moisture to your skin while you shower with the Biotherm Shower Milk, to help your tan last that little bit longer.
2. Up the moisture!
There’s no better way to keep your tan looking perfect than making sure you moisturise more than you usually do. Our favourites for keeping your skin hydrated are the Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion and the Clinique Deep Comfort Body Lotion
Exfoliating seems like the last thing you want to do when you’ve got a tan, but it’s important to scrub off the dead skin to ensure your best tan shines through. It’s also important before self-tanning (our favourite way to make your tan last all year!). We love the L’occitane Almond Body Scrub
4. Apply Self Tan.
The secret to extending your tan is to create a simple ritual that’s easy to maintain, so a long-lasting tan is what you need. Something that’s easy to apply, and easy to maintain – Try the Vita Liberata phenomenal 2-3 week tan in Dark for a long lasting tan, or the Clarins Self Tanning Milky Lotion for something that’s easy to apply.
Even though you’re using self-tan, it’s important to repeat the exfoliation and moisturisation steps to ensure that your tan is looking its best year-round.
