Home of the Eiffel Tower and Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Paris is one city that has it all. The city offers an array of attractions for everybody with all kinds of interests.
For the art lovers there is the beautiful Musee d’Orsay museum. The once railway station, converted museum is home to a collection of impressionist and post-impressionist art, a must see for anyone and even if you’re not a lover of art, this museum will definitely turn you into one. As if that isn’t enough there’s also the Musee du Louvre, the home of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. There’s also a little something for the history lovers with a number of museums, ranging from the Army Museum to the Notre Dame Cathedral.
If after all this sightseeing you find yourself a little thirsty, Paris also offers the Millesiwine Wine Tasting experience, so why not pay a visit and indulge yourself with arguably some of the world’s most finest wine. Wine shouldn’t be drunk on an empty stomach though and it is not hard to find a bite to eat in Paris, with a selection of restaurants located all around the city, serving exquisite dishes for a real taste of France. In the spring there is the Paris Plages, where you can relax at the beach and enjoy the French weather.
If you fancy venturing out of the city for a bit of fresh air, why not take a trip to a city outside of Paris, in the Banlieue and get lost on a green suburban trail, to get a real taste of France, away from the usual tourists attractions. You can get direct flights to Paris from Southampton from just £167 this April, prices vary depending on which date you decide to go, but this city is a Spring must.
