Travel into Southampton

By road

Southampton city centre is just four miles (7km) from the airport and reached directly via the A335.

By bus

The Uni-link U1C operates to the University, city centre and eastern docks. It runs every 15 minutes during the week and every 20 minutes at weekends and on public holidays. For details, visit the Uni-link website or call +44 (0)2380 595 974.

By train

Southampton Airport (Parkway) rail station is a short walk from the terminal building. There are direct services to Southampton Central every ten minutes, and to London Waterloo every 20 minutes. For wheelchair users there is a new rail bridge and assistance help points.

By taxi

Checker Cars operates a 24-hour taxi service from Southampton Airport and has an office opposite the arrivals hall. Some cars have swivel seats for easier access and there is a minibus suitable for wheelchair users. By ferry

Red Funnel ferries sail to the Isle of Wight from Southampton. The ferry terminal can be reached by taking a train to Southampton Central Station and then taking the free City Link bus to Town Quay. .

Transport to cruise terminals

The quickest and easiest way to reach your ship is by taxi from the airport direct to your terminal. Alternatively, passengers for the Queen Elizabeth II terminal can take the U1C bus to Dock Gate 4 (eastern docks). You can also take a train to Southampton Central, then continue to your ferry terminal by taxi.
