Southampton Airport Fire Service’s primary role is to save lives and protect property.

Our 33-strong fire service team provides a professional service for airport staff, concessionaires and passengers.

In a challenging airport environment – surrounded by a motorway, main rail line, busy rail yards and a protected country park – we’re proud to meet and exceed all the Civil Aviation Authority’s required standards.

Southampton Airport Fire Service also provides commercial training, including first aid, fire prevention, manual handling and courses for professional firefighters.

Training is provided at clients’ premises or in our state-of-the-art facility at the airport.

Our training equipment includes a mock-up short-haul passenger jet, which uses hydrocarbon fuels to provide the most realistic fire training available.
