Southampton Airport supports Eastleigh and Southampton at the Hampshire Youth Games
Southampton Airport has sponsored over 300 young people from Eastleigh and Southampton to take part in this year’s Hampshire Youth Games. Training for Team Eastleigh and Team Southampton is well underway for the games that will be held in Aldershot on 23rd June with over 2,500 young people participating from around the region.
The two teams will be competing against 12 other Hampshire teams in mixed events, including; Netball, Football, Tag Rugby, Basketball, Judo, Tennis, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton and Squash.
Jan Halliday, Director of Marketing & Communications at Southampton Airport, and Chair of Sport Hampshire & Isle of Wight, comments: “The airport has been supporting the Hampshire Youth Games over the last decade and has helped thousands of young people from around the region participate in sporting activities. I would like to wish the teams every success in this year’s competition, which is a great training opportunity in the build up to the 2012 Olympics.”
