Easter Bunny hops into Southampton Airport to celebrate centenary year, in time for the busy Easter get-away
The Easter Bunny has hopped into Southampton Airport to deliver 100 chocolate eggs ready for passengers to find in a special ‘Centenary Easter Egg Hunt’.
The 100 eggs, which have been kindly donated by Cadbury’s, will be hidden across Southampton Airport over the Bank Holiday weekend for passengers to discover and enjoy. The activities form part of a year of celebrations to mark 100 years of flight in South Hampshire. Passengers travelling this weekend should keep their eyes peeled for this eggstravangza!
This year’s Easter get-away will see over 29,000 passengers jetting off from their local airport, a 3.6% increase on Easter 2009. The favourite holiday spots this year are Edinburgh, Guernsey, Jersey, Glasgow and Manchester. Other popular short breaks will include; Amsterdam, Bergerac, Dublin, Paris and Rennes.
