Passport control

For all passengers not making a connecting flight your first stop is passport control, which will be clearly signposted on your arrival. There are two separate queuing areas – one is for European Union (EU) and British nationals, the other for all other nationalities.

Once at the passport booth an immigration officer will ask to see you passport. You will also need any supporting documentation necessary for your visit. Also, please remember that your passport must not expire during your visit to the UK.

Large queues can develop during busy times but please be patient, as our stringent checks help ensure security for visitors and UK residents alike.
