To and from the cruise terminal
Many of our passengers fly into Southampton Airport to then join one of the magnificent liners or cruise ships sailing from the port. Transferring between Southampton's airport and cruise terminals couldn't be easier.
Transport options
By taxi
Operator: Checker Cars
From the airport: There is a taxi desk located within the airport terminal. Taxis are permitted entry to Dock Gates 4, 8 and 10 on cruise days. Pre-booking is recommended to speed your journey through at busy times.
From the port: There is a taxi rank for the airport located outside each cruise terminal. Taxis may be very busy while the ships are disembarking so pre-booking is thoroughly recommended.

By train
Operator: South West Trains
From the airport: Southampton Airport has one of the closest train-to-plane connections in Europe, with Southampton Airport (Parkway) rail station just 99 steps from the terminal. Trains run up to every 15 minutes from Platform 2 to Southampton Central station, from where you can get a taxi to your cruise terminal.
From the port: Once disembarked, you'll need to get a taxi to Southampton Central Station, where you can catch a train to Southampton Airport (Parkway). There is a taxi rank located outside each cruise terminal. Trains run up to every 15 minutes.

By bus
Operator: Uni-Link
From the airport: Catch the U1 bus from the airport terminal for Dock Gate 4. Please note: For security purposes, all passengers must alight at the Dock Gate 4 bus stop in Platform Road and walk the remaining distance to your cruise terminal.
From the port: Catch the U1 bus from Dock Gate 4 bus stop in Platform Road to the airport terminal.

Time on your hands?
Cruise passengers often find that they have several hours between arriving at the airport and making their way to the cruise terminal or disembarking from their cruise and checking-in for their flight home.
