Southampton Airport cements Breeze Through branding with speedy security

Southampton Airport, branded as ‘The airport you can Breeze Through’ has smashed its targets for getting passengers through security with passengers waiting less than 5 minutes 98.2% of the time, and less than 10 minutes 99% of the time in 2012.

Neil Garwood, Head of Customer Service, commented, “Passengers tell us that they choose to fly through Southampton because they know they can move through the airport quickly and easily. This means a great start, to perhaps a long day, for our business passengers, and an easy transit for families travelling with children going on holiday.”

In the autumn the airport invested significantly in new equipment for the security search area.  The new equipment is designed to further speed up the process and improve working conditions for staff.
